Status check of Jewar international airport land and its development plan
Great investment opportunity on Yamuna Expressway as : Yamuna authority residential and industrial plots, agriculture, land for compensation in phase 3 and phase 4, notified villages area.
According to the official news, 6000 hectares will be acquired for the jewar international airport project in five phases.
Phase 1 of the project:
1334 ha have been acquired for airports, first runway and terminal buildings. Commercial operations are expected to start this September October 2024.
Phase 2 of the project:
Land acquisition for second phase is in an advanced stage, the process of acquiring 1365 ha designated for maintenance, repair, and overhaul hub, for which the compensation is being getting distributed.
Phase 3 of the project:
In November 2023, UP Cabinet had approved the land acquisition for third and fourth phases. In January 2024, the Yamuna Expressway authority board gave its in principle approval to initiate land acquisition process in 14 villages for the third and fourth phase acquisition ( third phase – 1318 hectares, fourth phase – 735 hectares)
Besides the airport, a few residential sectors and five industrial parks, including an electronics and manufacturing hub will be developed.
Focus is also on developing the logistics and housing hub near Tappal, near Jewar airport.
Apart from handing out the compensation, the process of rehabilitating, the farmers is underway in a few villages .
