The NEW six-lane expressway, which will start from Raya, will be built to connect with a bridge on the Yamuna river near Vrindavan.

From the bridge, a 2.5km-long new road is already being built to Banke Bihari temple.

How much Area would the new township cover?

The UP government approved the creation of Heritage City in the Raya Urban Centre as per the Master Plan of 2031.

The Heritage City, planned on 800 acres of land along the Yamuna Expressway, as a Tourism Zone, aims to ease congestion around the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan.

Under the project, a proposal has been made to develop a “theological village and cultural arena” based on the life of Lord Krishna in Heritage City.

Location Advantages

The location of Heritage City is 12 km from Mathura, 7 km from Vrindavan and 70 km from Pari Chowk in Greater Noida.

It is a part of the ‘Agra-Mathura-Vrindavan’ tourism circuit inaugurated by the government in UP.

While religious and devotional tourists keep flowing in the holy twin cities of Mathura (birthplace of Lord Krishna) and Vrindavan, Agra also acts as a major international tourist destination with the presence of Mughal-era historical monuments, such as Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Acquisition of Land for the Proposed City

The land is proposed to be acquired directly from farmers or under land pooling policy by Yamuna Expressway Authority–, where the farmer would be compensated  PLUS  returned 7% of their land area after development.

The farmer can resort to either using it for industrial, commercial, or residential usage or sell it off for any to the state purpose.

The Heritage site area has already been notified & List of Villages – Land have been Finalised for development.
